Sparks members have to take up all three offers to get the £15 but if everyone who has signed up joins the promotion, it could potentially cost M&S £255m, although for that to happen they will have raked in £425m on Champagne, £425m on flowers and £340m from the M&S Café.
From now until January 1 2027, existing Sparks customers can earn £5 when they spend £25 on Delacourt Champagne (England and Wales), while customers in Scotland can instead earn £5 when they spend £20 on soft drinks and mixers.
They can also earn £5 when they spend a minimum of £25 on flowers online and £5 when they spend £20 at an M&S Café.
Meanwhile, new Sparks customers can also earn up to £15 to spend at M&S with three special welcome offers: £5 when they spend £20 on soft drinks and mixers; £5 when they buy flowers in-store; and £5 when they spend £20 at an M&S Café
M&S relaunched its loyalty programme earlier this year, giving customers fresh reasons to shop their favourites, with new offers landing in the M&S app every Tuesday.
According to M&S’ own research, almost half of shoppers (44%) have already made their first festive-related purchase, ahead of an expected average spend of £377.90 on Christmas presents.
Meanwhile, almost half (47%) of shoppers are looking for discounts, offers or loyalty rewards to stretch their festive budget. But it is not all about what is under the tree. More than a quarter (27%) save their rewards for the Christmas food shop, while one in seven (14%) admit to slipping a little something for themselves into the basket while they are busy playing Santa for everyone else.
M&S marketing and loyalty director Sharry Cramond said: “We know customers are shopping for Christmas earlier this year, so we want to make their festive shopping even more rewarding. With three new special Sparks offers, customers can earn up to £15 into their Sparks wallet as they shop, helping them tick off their Christmas list and get things wrapped up before the big day. And with new offers every week, there are plenty more opportunities to earn. After all, getting your Christmas shopping done early deserves a little reward!”
