Independent media agency Medialab is beefing up its expertise in data-driven TV advertising with the appointment of Starcom’s client investment director Jon Manning as director of advanced TV.
The move follows the double appointment of head of planning Jess Talbot from Initiative and business director Zaira Cross from All Response Media, who joined as the business expands its senior team.
Manning will be responsible for helping Medialab’s clients navigate through the increasingly fragmented and complex world of connected TV, including BVOD, SVOD, AVOD, FAST.
With over 67% of UK households already owning a Connected TV, according to IAB UK, and the average time spent consuming digital content on the rise, Medialab is committed to delivering valuable audiences to clients across all relevant platforms.
Manning will further strengthen Medialab’s total TV solution, designing and delivering collaborative partnerships through the agency’s marketing intelligence platform, Apollo, guided by data-led investments, strong ROI and attribution.
Having started his career at OMD UK, Manning had spells at BBC Worldwide, MEC, Walker Media and M2M before joining Starcom in 2017. Over the years he has worked on accounts including Lidl, Stellantis, Samsung and Reckitt Benckiser.
