WPN Chameleon to run charity TV ad to say ‘thank you’

Thank You BritainWPN Chameleon has taken the unprecedented step of running a one-off Christmas TV ad using footage from a number of its charity clients to thank the public for supporting their fundraising work over the past 12 months.
The spot will air at 3.40pm on More4 on Christmas Day during the Come Dine with Me ad break, with production donated by WPNC, the voiceover donated by Martin Clunes,  and the airtime donated by More4 with help from MiMedia.
The charities involved include the Salvation Army, Oxfam, ActionAid, Unicef, Children’s Air Ambulance, The Children’s Trust, Orbis and NSPCC.
The WPNC digital team has also produced a dedicated landing page for the “Thank You Britain” ad which will go live this week, giving potential donors the opportunity to make further donations on Christmas Day and beyond.
Founded as Watson Phillips Norman in 1998 by former WWAV chiefs John Watson, Maria Phillips and Todd Norman, the agency merged with Chameleon in April 2014 to create WPNC.
While it specialises in the charity sector, it also works for a number of commercial businesses, including eye care group Optegra, Provident Financial, Rosland Capital and Riviera Travel.
